Melladerm Plus Honey Wound Gel
is specially formulated and
effective for the treatment
of contaminated chronic wounds,
leg ulcers and pressure sores,
necrotic or slough wounds, oncologic and/or acute and surgical wounds
and burns.
When gel is in contact with the wound, fluid is extracted
from surrounding tissues
through osmosis creating
a moist healing environment.
Moist wound healing is known
to optimise the wound healing
process. This environment
also facilitates autolysis, promotes better epithelial cell migration,
is an excellent debriding agent, reduces malodour and stops the
growth of bacteria in the wound.

Melladerm Plus Tulle is a 10 x
10cm gauze dressing made of specially woven wide gauge, polyester
mesh impregnated with Melladerm Plus honey wound gel. The special
mesh gauge allows wound fluid to pass through easily for absorption
by a secondary dressing (compress or absorbent). In certain applications,
Tulle may be a more user friendly option and is often used for example
in cavity wounds to achieve better contact with the wound surface
using less ointment.
